Connection Through Story

Resilient Athletes Workshop and Mentorship

We have a series of workshops that brings together expert-led evidence-based research, athlete story, mentorship and guided self-reflection.
Themes of the workshops:
  1. Owning your journey in high performance sport
  2. Relative Energy Deficiency in Sport and the importance of female periods, a vital sign of health.
  3. Power, what abuse of power looks like, and how to harness your own power. 
  4. Plateaus and failure: Embracing the whole story of sport.
  5. Healthy Relationships: Parents, Coaches, Athletes and Administrators

Each workshop has the following components:
  1. Expert Presentation on Topic (Live or Pre-recorded) (15-20 minutes)
  2. Story from current or retired high performance athletes including Olympians. (10-15 minutes)
  3. Guided discussion, question and answer led by facilitator (10-15 minutes)
  4. On-going mentorship support and resources for further information.

Sessions can be held in person or by Zoom. Expert and athlete interviews will be recorded for future viewing.  These sessions will be hosted within a secure on-line forum.
